It is never a good thing to eat and talk at the same time. I have proven it myself, time and time again. Whenever I do, I get extremely annoyed. Why? I find it rather difficult to taste or enjoy my food. I like to savor all the flavors while simultaneously inhaling the aromas and fragrances. Talking while eating, negatively impacts my ability, especially when the food is oh soooo darn d’luscious.
This morning, after praying and reverencing God, I went straight into my Sanctuary. If you don’t know where that is by now, let me tell you…..it is my kitchen. Yes, I went into the Sanctuary to prepare my Curried Chicken and Rice. This authentic dish wasn’t just for dinner. This also was my lunch for the day.
I really hate to purchase lunch or any type of food on the go, or on the road. I rarely use the word hate but, I had to in this particular instance. I am not at all fond of the food that is sold in the cafeteria, at my place of employment. It really doesn’t float MY boat. In my opinion, it is a total waste of money.
I had a few errands that I had to complete yesterday morning, so I didn’t have the opportunity to cook. I was without lunch ….all day yesterday. I sure as heck was not going to let that happen today. So surely this morning, I waltzed my pretty ass into the kitchen and poured out so much love into the Curried Chicken. It was amazing!
It wasn’t until I sat at my desk at work and decided to start eating, that I notice it tasted so darn good. Had I known before I left home, I would’ve taken the entire pot with me. I hope when I return home tonight, there will be more of the Curried Chicken left over.
Yeah, I know……wishful thinking.
