Curried Chicken Feet with Baked Potatoes and Gourmet Greens

Curried Chicken Paws with Baked Sweet Potato and Gourmet Greens“Even chicken foot yu mek look good!” they say.  Food is love. I connect with food. I embrace food. All kinds of food. Eating chicken feet is normal…for me and a whole lot of people from the islands. I use it in soups and stews more than anything else, but because curry makes everything taste good, I  curried it with buttery lima beans, and baked sweet potato. In my book, chicken foot is food of the champions and this dish is a winner. As usual, I gotta have my salad. My plate has to be colorful. I eat with my eyes first.  Don’t knock it until you try it.

Chicken feet is becoming more popular and expensive, which tells me that it is high in demand. What other folks use it for, I have no idea. All that matters to me, is how I utilize it. I have no intention of removing it from my diet. I remember the days when it was sold for almost next to nothing. Nowadays it’s cheaper for me to buy a whole chicken that to get a pound of chicken feet. So why do I buy it?  I have those cravings, the ones reminiscent of my childhood. The ones that reminds of my grandma soup on a Saturday. It always had chicken feet in it.  I’d suck the meat off and chew the bones, then spit them out. No, I grind those bones. To this day, I still grind my bones. My teeth are lethal. Something tells me they are the strongest part of my body.

Chicken feet is REAL food.
