Curry Shrimp with Cauliflower

 

Curried Shrimp with CauliflowerFresh herbs and spices are religiously utilized in my sanctuary. I make my own spice rubs which includes curry powder. I’ve experimented with different brands of curries, but I’ve always had to add other ingredients and tweak it to my liking. So I figured; why not just make my own and enjoy it every single time. Y’all should see me in action with my spice grinder. It’s waaay tooo much fun!

We eat shrimp just about every week in my house. My goal is to keep the dish as interesting as I possibly can, when the main ingredient is one that I use often. It’s kinda like cooking shrimp a thousands different ways. D’Angelo, my son really loves cauliflower, so I decided to add this awesome vegetable to the super awesome curry shrimp dish.  I enjoy feeding him because he expresses so much love for my cooking. Maybe the child is just greedy. You think so? Or he could just be what they call ‘a growing boy’. Well he is growing a little bit too much for me. Seems like I just had him yesterday and now he’s about to enter high school. Like, where did the time go? Well enough about my growing greedy boy.

Curry tastes good on anything! Don’t believe me? Well, I guess you have been missing out on this awesome spice blend your whole entire life. The next time you pick up some curry, buy yourself some cauliflower and carrots, sauté that with some onions and tomatoes and add the curry. Now if you like the tastes, which I know you will….get cooking and add any meat you like. If you’re a vegetarian, just go ahead and add more earth foods. Trust me, you’re gonna love it!
