Despite the challenges that I have encountered in the year 2011, I must say….I am truly blessed! When others ask, “how do you do all that you do?” My only response is, “It’s the grace of God that carries me through and sustains me.”
Taking unpaid time off from work to care for my 84 year old grandmother and time off for myself to heal from my own surgical procedures, never stopped me from living. I am truly blessed! Not one day was I without food, shelter or the basic necessities. Love remains in my heart. At time, I overextend myself to others because that’s just an expression of my love for humanity. Its so rewarding to see a smile on someones else’s face, knowing that I helped to place it there . Some may interpret my kindness as weakness, while other do recognize it’s face value.
God always shows up in the nick of time. Whomever created the phrase, “He’s an on time God” definitely understood the meaning.
I thank God for his revelation. I have learned that , if you pray and ask God to reveal things that you may experience difficulty understanding, he will reveal it. I am tolerant and have more patience than Job. I have learned to draw that line. When my cup is full, it is full. My friends proclaim that I am strong, resilient, always bouncing back. I have no choice. My family depends on me and as long as I have God in my corner, there is no need to worry. Yes, I have taken some blows, but I wont let that stop me from my divine purpose. I refuse to let anyone steal my joy.
Over the years, I have attained so much knowledge and wisdom and have learned to accept others for who they are. I’m still learning. I don’t have to power to change anyone but I can offer advice and pray that it’s given some thought. I have learned that some people are just stuck in there own way and no matter what….they just wont change.
Today, I am just taking it easy and basking in all of God’s Glory. I’m not doing too much in the kitchen, but I was in the mood for potatoes and sweet yams, so I dug into my authenticity and prepared roasted potatoes and eggplant, poached egg, tomatoes and oven fried bacon on a bed of artisanal lettuce.
Who God bless, no man curse.
Mama I will always love you!
