I pride myself on eating fabulously healthy, or at least, I would like to think so. My grocery list now includes more fresh herbs, vegetables and produce and less processed food. I’m really proud of myself. I was really tempted to fry up a batch of banana fritters for my sweet tooth but this fruit salad really satisfied that craving.
As a proud parent, I do introduce my children to fruits and vegetables as well. I haven’t really purchased too many unhealthy snacks or frozen foods. They have pretty much been eliminated from my household.
I prepared this fruit salad which was such a delight, that I felt very compelled to hide the star fruit from my son D’Angelo. He loves star fruits and now intends to plant a star fruit tree. If we were to plant a tree for every fruit that he loves, our yard would be deemed a farm or groove or the woods. By the way, my dream is to live on a farm, you never know….D’Angelo would be able to cultivate to his heart’s desire.
Even though the star fruit was the star of this salad, I really enjoyed the blueberries and strawberries.
