I haven’t bought any juices from the stores since I have dedicated my time to preparing my own juices. What’s even better is that my attempts to eliminate adding any kind of sweetener has been successful. I add two or three limes or lemons and the flavors come alive! So alive that I don’t miss the sugar at all. You don’t necessarily have to run out and purchase a high tech juicer or blender. The one in this photo is inexpensive and gets the job done. I utilize a strainer, as well as a nut milk bag to separate the fibers from the juice and still obtain all the nutrients as well as a tasty d’luscious juice.
I have been in my sanctuary aka my kitchen since about 6 am doing all kinds of things. I know…I should have been asleep… but… if my eyes are wide open and I have lots to do, the perfectionist in me, is going to force me to maximize my time. If I don’t take care of myself, then no one else will. If I don’t take the time out for my health, no one else will. My health is extremely important to me, so I make time. It’s not as if I do this everyday….well… maybe I do….lol.
As you can see, I love ginger. In addition to all of the healing properties that this simple root boasts, I love the feel of the burning heat as it goes down. It’s a healing kind of heat. I guess I love spicy juices. Almost all of my juices includes ginger. It just needs to be there.
Dandelion leaves are the green leaves in the photo and it’s has a bitter taste. I need to get it into my system, so I find ways to add them into my juices. I add dandelion to soups as well. I didn’t add much here but you can add a handful or more dandelion leaves depending on your preference.
I use glass bottles to store my juices as well. I am now aware that plastic contains BPA which is toxic. I will make every effort to prevent as much toxins as possible, that I have control over, from entering my body. I have obtains a vast amount of information since I decided to eat healthier, and I will continue to juice for a clean bill of health as well as Longevity.
