I’m in a pasta-rific mood and what better way to silence that craving than with some pasta. For the last two weeks or so, my body hasn’t been craving the hard core meat, you know….like steak and stuff. But I still do need to eat. Last week all I wanted were vegetables, then I had this ginormous craving for turkey and now all I want is pasta. I don’t know but I think these cravings are all weather induced or it may just be holiday anxiety.
My son D’Angelo loves his pasta when everything is combined and unbaked, just as it is in the photo above.
A week ago, I couldn’t have eaten any cheese or dairy because it would have aggravated the so called endometriosis. I have a better understanding of my body now and knows how to defeat the excruciating pain. So now that I am free and clear, I can have some cheese now. I day dream about concocting cheesy recipes. I use all kind of cheese and pastas and finds comfort in most pasta dishes that are rich and creamy. I carefully planned this out in what seemed like my dreams while I was wide awake. It was supposed to be crab macaroni and cheese, but when I looked into the pantry, I only had shells and no elbow macaroni. That’s okay. That would do just fine. I am a cook. I know how to work my culinary magic.
Now just for the record, I can not stand imitation crab meat. What is the point? It defeats the entire purpose of eating crab. Maybe my dislike for imitation crab is know what REAL crab meat is. Anything else is just ridiculous. So I buy lump crab or claw crab meat. It’s a little expensive, but it is so worth it. And it doesn’t taste weird the day after either. It isn’t fishy and repulsive like the imitation stuff. So, I would suggest that you spend the extra money and enjoy your food, just like I did mine. Pasta infused with crab and cheese is beyond comforting!
