I love my life! I love my life! Eating healthy is boss! I have officially entered stir fry kingdom. There’s nothing sweeter than getting into the kitchen, creating authentic dishes from scratch, and enjoying the fruits of your labor. Even my son D’Angelo is becoming a vegetable hoarder. He’s like, “Mommy gimme me lots of mushrooms on my plate.” We both love porta bella mushrooms in EVERYTHING. Without a doubt, the mushrooms played its roll well in this House Special Curry Shrimp which is included in my cookbook.
This is one of those dishes that initiates the usage of my wok. Did I mention that I have a wok? I’m even contemplating getting another one….A LARGER WOK. Do they even come in different sizes? I love my wok! It gives me that sense of feeling oriental, so I definitely can’t and won’t half step on a recipe when using the wok; even though I usually give my authentic dishes 150% in all or most of my endeavors. My wok inspires me to take my authenticity to a higher level and this performance was indeed elevated. Good heavens! Looking at these photos just makes me want to cook and eat this all over again!
I’m a proud vegetable hoarder. Eating vegetables feels so clean. Matter of fact, it is clean eating. Each bite makes me feel so pure. I had to chuckle to myself just now. I’m beginning to sound like my son’s friend who visits quiet often. Whenever he comes over and drink some of my natural juices, he goes, “Mommy I feel so pure!” Most of my son’s friends calls me mommy. I guess that makes them my adopted children. LOL.
Whomever said vegetables aren’t pleasant in taste, obviously have not made any attempts to create or duplicate this authentic house special curry shrimp. What makes it so special, is that it has all of the vegetables that were in the house….well maybe not all, but definitely most of the veggies. You may have been lead to believe that eating vegetables is challenging. It’s really not that difficult to embrace your vegetables. Try introducing them into your diet, one vegetable at a time, maybe one new vegetable each week. Roast them. Steam them. Stir fry them. Grill them or even add them to soups. Vegetables don’t need a lot of sauce. All they really need is sea salt or pink himalayan salt and cayenne pepper. Well, that’s what I personally use. And please do not overcook the vegetables. They should be crisp, yet tender and d’luscious. Before you know it, you will have become a vegetable hoarder like myself.
I know the curry shrimp that you ordered from your favorite oriental restaurant can’t compare to this. Are you done licking the computer screen? How many times have you clicked on the photo to enlarge it? Speak the truth now. Are you hungry? I know you are…and if you weren’t ….I bet you’re hungry now. Do I enjoy being a teaser? Of course!
