The term kid in a candy store should no longer be used to describe overly excited children. It’s a term of endearment for foodies like me, who are completely filled with glee whenever we stumble upon or bless eyes on mother nature and her abundance of earthly produce. I personally just don’t know how to act when I see produce. I immediately begin to imagine and create all sorts of wonderful sexy salads in my head. Food excites me. Period.
My outward display of affection for mother earth may seem weird to most folks but they just don’t understand. They may never understand until they make a conscious effort to embrace the earth. They may never understand until they are creative enough to make awesome sexy salads such as this purple kale salad with mesclun greens, gourmet raisins, grapes, cucumbers, golden grape tomatoes and feta. The intricate details of baby leaves and lettuces; the lines are like veins that connect everything inside our bodies; the vibrant colors speaks to me, letting me know that I’m on the right path to a healthier life.
