Just this morning I had a basil pesto sauce mozzarella crostini. Just yesterday I had basil pesto on toast. I just can’t get enough! It’s excellent with pasta and adds the same lusciousness to rice. So why not create basil pesto rice?
I prepare all types of pesto, however I would have to say that basil pesto happens to be my favorite. It could be the herbaceous fragrance of the basil or the slow roasted candylike flavors from the garlic. Either way, the combination of the ingredients in basil pesto is a force to be reckoned with.
