I am especially thankful to the Almighty God for leading and guiding me in HIS direction. Without HIM, I would never be sane. Without HIM, there would be no Angeluscious.com, or the wonderful family and friends that he has blessed me with. HE has always made a way out of no way. HE has always made provisions. Lord I thank you FOREVER!
My Thanksgiving dinner was a success! Not that I thought that it would turn out any other way. I was up at 6am and finalized all my authentic dishes by 4 pm. Not bad at all, considering I had NO HELP. I swear I was a maid in my past life. The menu consisted of Jerk Turkey, Glazed Ham, Braised Rip Tips, Jerk Chicken, Mashed Potatoes, Macaroni and Cheese, Collard Greens, Candied Yams, Cranberry Ginger Sauce, Rice and Beans and Sweet Potato Pie. All I need to do is put that “S” on my chest, because I know I CAN FLY.
Stacey and her family were guests of honor. She would have never missed it for the world. That diva LOVES my food. I did indeed receive rave reviews and her immediate family is seriously considering stopping by more often, especially for Sundays dinners. I really don’t mind sharing at all.
My son Robert invited some of his friends as well. They sure know how to devour some food. That only equates to lots of hugs and kisses for me, for days. In the middle of the night they were ransacking the refrigerator again for all the left overs and to my surprise, Robert ate an entire pie that I had left in the refrigerator.
I washed up all the dishes by hand, and double washed them in the dishwasher, (just to give it a run), mopped the kitchen floors and called it a day/night. That’s the OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder) part of me. Is my family spoiled. YES.
Would I do this all again? ….absolutely! Put me in the kitchen and I’m in heaven. (That’s my “inner maid” talking).
