Never skip breakfast: It is the first meal of the day and will get you off to a good start.
Don’t starve yourself. You will overeat later: Eat small healthy portions.

Treat your meals as an important event: without distractions. Your brain will recognize when you are full and so will you. If you eat while talking, watching TV etc, you will overeat.
Marinate your meats overnight. Not only will it save you time, but it enhances the flavor as well.
Prep your meals in advance: Chop onions, dice tomatoes, prepare side dishes, etc. You will notice a significant reduction to time spent in the kitchen.
Organize. Organize. Organize. It gives me peace of mind. I can find anything in my kitchen with my eyes closed or even blindfolded.

I LOVE BLEACH, and I probably shouldn’t. Hydrogen peroxide is safer and natural and can be used instead. Bleach kills noroviruses; also referred to as stomach flu, food poisoning, vomiting. Noroviruses can still linger even with the use of those other fancy cleansers. They are just not as effective. If you prefer to use a natural alternative to bleach, the choice is yours.
Disinfect your floor mops by soaking them in boiling water with bleach. You really don’t have to purchase a new mop every other month.
Mop tile floors with hot water. I do, most of the time.
Your plate should always be colorful.
Eat plenty fruits and vegetables.
Avoid processed foods.
Educate your children about healthier selections/healthy living.

Do not place your bacon in a hot skillet. It will shrink and you really wont have much bacon. Instead place it on a cold baking sheet and place it in the oven. Your results will be a crispier, tastier bacon.
Do NOT grease or butter the baking sheet for your bacon, the bacon fat will render enough oil.
Clip coupons: use the savings to splurge on something nice for yourself.
Browse through your supermarket flyers each week for items on sale and stock up on the ones you use on a consistent basis, even if you already have some at home. You will find that on days when your cash flow is low, your pantry will always be fully stocked.
Store Juices in glass bottles. Why worry about BPA bisphenol A?
Reuse/recycle containers to store other items. I use the containers from spinach and lettuces to store freshly cut fruits such as watermelon and honeydew.
Shop in bulk. Join a wholesale club. If you don’t have a huge family, find a friend who is willing to go half on the membership with you, and divide the items when purchased. That way, they won’t spoil or rot.
A fryer chicken is the SAME as a roaster chicken. The only difference is the roaster chicken is larger and more EXPENSIVE.
