Watermelon, Honeydew, Pineapple, Mint Smoothie

Eating foods from the earth has become such a natural act for me. It doesn’t bother me the least bit, that there aren’t any store bought juices in my house anymore. Each day, I experience no difficulty whatsoever, in deciphering what drinks will be prepared.

My kitchen counter calls my name and speaks to me regularly. We have an amicable relationship…seriously. I don’t know if my fruits get excited or depressed when I walk into the kitchen. There is a possibility that they are happy and friendly because they are being used, instead of being ignored, just sitting there waiting to rot. On the other hand, they may be depressed because they aren’t allowed the opportunity to sit on the counter and “vogue” for too long, My frutis are honored and devoured more often than they may want to. They are either shouting, “pick me, pick me!” or trying to hide to avoid being blended or cooked.

I am living, breathing and enjoying the act of eating foods from the earth. This particular fusion was so refreshing. I tell ya..watermelon never tasted so damn good. I love love love watermelon! Whenever they are in season, I just can’t get enough. Who would’ve thought that watermelon and mint would transform into such a perfect combination. For a minute, I thought curry was the one spice that was good on everything. I may need to take that back. MINT is good with everything. Mint happens to be one of my favorite teas but to blend and incorporate this awesome herb into a refreshing drink, is beyond priceless.

As you can see, this was too good to have just one glass, so instead I had two. It’s pretty easy to prepare. You probably already have these ingredients in your kitchen. Whip out that blender and lets rock!
