It was one of those days where I just had this enormous craving for turkey. It normally takes a good 2 to three days for my turkey to thaw, but for some strange reason I guess this turkey wanted me to eat if quickly because it thawed completely in 24 hours. Wow! I didn’t even allow the seasonings to marinate overnight. I’ve been making my own seasoning blends which I generously coated the turkey with. I had no time for overnight soaking, so as soon as I stuffed the belly with all the culinary aromatics, I covered that bad boy with some foil and into the oven it went.
I’ve never seen turkey roast this quickly. I swear this turkey knew that I wanted it as badly as it wanted me to devour it. Moist and succulent is an understatement, if I used those adjectives to describe this roasted turkey. I’m so loving my spice blends and will soon share them with the world. My seasoning blend definitely added that extra uummph.
The bird was sacrificed and as you can see, it served it’s purposed well. Did we enjoy it? Does it seem as if it was enjoyed?
