My son D’Angelo has been craving tacos for a while. I decided on lasagna, but the decision was overruled by meatballs. I decided to create a sweet and tangy sauce but that notion became a thing of the past, when I had this brilliant idea to cook them in rose sauce instead. I must say, I was amazed at the results myself.
I had every intention to complete this dish before leaving for work, so I would have absolutely nothing kitchen related, after a long day at work. I’m a morning person and get most of my task accomplished by at least 2 pm each day. I was preparing the sauce and meatballs, but didn’t want this dish to feel rushed, for fear of not having enough love radiating through it. So I did what a real cook would do. I turned the stove off, placed the meatballs in the refrigerator and went to work.
My hunger quickly diminished upon returning home. I quickly washed my hands and gently placed the meatballs in the oven and instructed D’Angelo to add the spaghetti once the pot of water came to a boil.
After a stimulating shower, dinner was complete and the entire family was fed. I realized that I could have added an additional ingredient to enhance the flavor and authenticate the recipe. I wont say what it is right now, but there is always another day for a new creation.
