Being a native of a small island where ground provisions are considered staples of the home, it took me a moment to develop a true appreciation for pasta. Over the years, I have learned to master the art of cooking pasta and now customize my authentic dishes for my family and friends. Being a food enthusiast has allowed me the opportunity to broaden my culinary repertoire. I have discovered and now fully understand that pasta doesn’t and should be engulfed or inundated by what appears to be a bucket of sauce.
I love farfalle, also known as bow tie pasta. It provides great contrast to my dishes and is quite appealing to the eye. I can take one look at farfalle and automatically begin to fantasize about the many ways that I can add drama to a dish by making it the focal point. Pasta is and should always be pure simplicity.
