Grilling and Roasting are cooking techniques that I would most likely claim to be my favorites.  Don’t you just love the depth of flavors enhanced by grilling? I personally can’t get enough of anything that is grilled or roasted, especially after being seasoned with aromatic, healing herbs.

grilled chicken with cabbage IMG_9866_1Herbs will have your tastebuds in such a rave, that you will vow never to eat bland foods again. Summertime or not, I throw just about everything on the grill. I get in those ‘where there’s fire there’s food’ mood sometimes….ok well maybe all the time. I will attempt to grill anything….at least once.

grilled salmon and bell peppers IMG_9917_1Salmon is excellent when grilled. It imparts such a flavor that is indescribable. I’m usually at a loss for adjectives when food is excellently d’luscious, and elicits sounds that indicates that I’m thrilled at the results. Roasted bell peppers are just as awesome and as you can see, I’ve paired them both in this photo.

Who would have thought that cabbage would be boss on the grill?  I enjoy the purple cabbage as much as I do the white ones.  It falls into the ‘nutritious while  indubitably d’luscious’ category.

Cabbage is one of those vegetables that’s always on those ‘diet plans’.
Why?
Because it aids in detoxification. I get excited when I hear the word detox, because it usually involves eliminating toxins from my body. Grilling cabbage is far more flavorful than the bland cabbage soup, that folks on diets seems to gravitate towards….then later on cheat on the diet because it’s totally bland, boring and lacking flavor, unless you’ve tasted my “Cabbage Soup“.
I DON’T diet, but if you choose to diet because it works for you; please I beg of you, create healthy, flavorful dishes with nutritious ingredients such as Grilled Herbed Chicken and Purple Cabbage.

Thank you in advance. Be Blessed!
